As a parent to tech-savvy boys, who can’t wait to get onto Grandad’s iPad, I was delighted to be invited to the launch of the MEEP! tablet last week, fresh over from the States and launched in the UK this September.
The idea of the boys having their OWN tablet, with full parental control over what they are looking at, playing with, and for how long at a time, is totally answered with the MEEP!
It’s a cool little thing, with a funky orange case (available in pink too apparently!) and a perfect gift for our 8 and 9 year old boys. And I LOVED that I can set time limits on use – for example 10min on games and perhaps 40min on films.
Parents can can access and download a vast library of cool games (we’ll be looking at Maths games, any recommendations for 9 year olds?!), apps, e-books and it’s going to be great on the long car journeys.
AND even better you can turn the tablet into your own garage-band, with a portable piano, drum pad, headphones and microphone (they’ll be giving their Drummer Dad a run for his money!)
Note: Thegoodlifebloggers received a complimentary MEEP! however, we were under no obligation to review or write about it.
