I am beginning to **finally** recognised that I have a “Home Office”, it has only taken me about 3 years to realise that I do “indeed work from home” and that I sit at a computer screen for a significant amount of hours each day! Well, I do have the Things To Make website on Red Ted Art and my Cooking with Kids site with Life at The Zoo and lets not forget our Theatre Books and Movies antics. Plenty to write about each week!
And I am slowly managing to carve out an area in our Kitchen Living Room area to work and and call my own. However, one thing I haven’t done yet, is to get decent office furniture. I really think I should invest in a proper office chair. as frequently have a stiff back and sore hands (I am thinking RSI, argh).
Next on the agenda is decent lighting.. well, I had a table lamp, but we managed to knock it off and break the bulb.. and of course, I just haven’t gotten around to getting a new one. Adds to the to do list. In the meantime, my eyes really are suffering. I do think it is important to get these things right! And there plenty of places online to buy bulbs from, so there is no excuse!
But seriously. If like me, you work from home, do look after yourself and make sure you have a proper work place set up. Make sure you have space for your things, you have a good seat and good lighting.
