Some of you may know that we had a wonderful little “secret” garden with wonderful plants and a beautiful fast growing creeper…. a little sheltered oasis and it was something that first drew me to the house when we were viewing it.
However, it was totally unsuitable for a young family. We couldn’t keep up with cutting back the creeper”. I pulled out a number of plants that were thorny or grew tempting looking berries. We pulled down part of the creeper. We hacked at the bamboo. In short. We made a mess of it. Add to it, that there was only paving (not ideal for falling over) and we only had a very old rickety table in the garden, it really was time for a complete overall.
Now we have neat.
Decking, “fake lawn” (yes yes I know, but it looks VERY good and needs no mowing – I know what we are like and it will never get mowed or it would end up with muddy patches). A small area for growing vegetables (I have lion dung on order to keep the cats from thinking it is a special loo for them).. and best of all………….
We have a “Play shed”. Oh it is perfect. A storage facility, that is also a climbing and hide away area for the kids. It is brilliant. It is by The Play House Company.
The kids are totally in love. Considering it is winter and it gets dark at 4pm. And we only get back from school at 330pm.. the kids are out there every day. It is like a completely “New Leas of Life” to our tired and boring old garden.
They have already dragged all their playdate friends up there. They have had a picnic lunch. They have played pirates. They have dragged some chairs up. They have taken books up for reading.
They love it. And so do we. We get much needed storage. The kids get to enjoy the garden.
It is neat, well made and sturdy.

We ordered, the company was very accommodating and squeezed us in before Christmas. We were able to choose the colour and I believe you can request other customisations (e.g. on size). They arrived and four hours later had set the shed up for us. Even left us some paint to touch things up here and should we need to. A great service and a great product.
